Classes and Workshops Scheduled:

Advanced Beginner Swing with Jane
on Thursdays Sundays April 15, 22, 29, May 06, 2010(4 weeks) at the Wethersfield American Legion Hall.

• 7:00-8:15 pm - Advanced Beginner Swing - This 5 hour series will pick up where we left off in the beginner series and continue with more 6 and 8 count lindy swing moves and having FUN!!! Many of the moves will help you work on your frame and connection to further develop your lead and follow skills (which will help you with any other dances). This series is quite popular to repeat since I change up to 50 percent of the moves each time I offer the series.
  Pre-requisite: Beginner Swing or Instructor's permission.

Beginner Waltz followed by Intermediate Plus Waltz with Joel Silvestro
on Mondays May 03, 10, 17, 24, 2010 (4 weeks) at the Wethersfield American Legion Hall.

Joel Silvestro was an Arthur Murray Troupe Dancer, Performer and Instructor in California. He is currently a choreographer with various theatre companies in Connecticut as well as a performer with Connecticut's own Rhythm Rousers.

• 7:00 - 8:15 pm - Beginner Waltz
  No experience needed!!
• 8:30 - 9:45 pm - Intemediate PLUS Waltz
  Pre-requisite: Beginner Waltz

Beginner Swing with Jitterbug Jane
on Sundays May 16 & 23, 2010 (2 weeks) at the Wethersfield American Legion Hall.
This is where it all begins. Learn fundamentals of not just Swing but "partner dancing" in only 2 weeks and start dancing faster!!! Guaranteed a fun time and you WILL be dancing after the first week! This class is also referred to as East Coast Swing or Beginner 6 count Lindy.

• 7:00-9:30 pm - Beginner Swing - The best place to start!!
  Beginner and new dancers welcome! No experience necessary.

Lindy Fundamentals and more with Jane!
on Thursdays May 20, June 03, 17, 24, 2010 (4 weeks) at the Wethersfield American Legion Hall.

• 7:00-8:15 pm - Lindy Fundamentals and much more!! - In this class you will learn or refine the 8 count fundamentals and some variations, focusing on form and technique while having fun integrating your 6 count Swing moves. Each time I teach this class, I will change some of the moves taught in the second half of the series to encourage students to repeat and fine tune their fundamentals.
  Pre-requisite: Jane's Advanced Beginner Swing.

West Coast Swing with Corey and Erin Caron
on Mondays June 28, July 05, 12, 19, 2010 (4 weeks) at the Wethersfield American Legion Hall.

Corey resides with his family in Suffield, CT. He began dancing and competing in Ballroom in 1998, quickly realizing he was much more passionate about West Coast Swing, largely due to the music it is danced to. He has been dancing, teaching, competing, and performing West Coast Swing all over the US ever since. He has competed in Classic Division with his wife, Erin, and in dozens of strictly swing and Jack & Jill contests.

• 7:00 - 8:15 pm - Novice WCS
  What are the basic 6 & 8 count patterns of the dance and how are they lead and followed appropriately on the social dance floor? Dancers who are new to WCS will learn the fundamentals of the dance. Experienced WCS dancers will get a new perspective on the basics and brush up on their technique.
• 8:15 - 8:30 pm - Practice
• 8:30 - 9:45 pm - Intermediate WCS
  More advanced patterns, technique, musicality, etc. Pre-requsite: Working knowledge of basic WCS 6 count patterns & 8 count whip. Pre-requisite: Basics
